Six Ways in which God Reveals Himself in Creation

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky.  Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature.  So they have no excuse for not knowing God” Romans 1:20 (NLT).

Go outside and look up, down, north, east, south, and west.  All that you see has been created by our amazing God.  He created all of it so that we would have a place to live.  He wanted fellowship so He created us, and before He breathed His breath into us, He created, step by step, this fantastic place for us to live.  And He did it all by speaking.  The words that God speaks are creative.  Whatever He says happens.  God said, “’Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear’; and it was so.” Genesis 1:9 (NKJV).
It happens just like that with everything He says.   That’s why everything He says is the truth—never a lie.  That becomes of supreme importance later in the Bible in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (NKJV)
When we look at the heavens, the earth, the plants that grow here, and the plethora of animals living here, there can be no doubt that God exists, that He is all powerful, and that He cares for us.  You can expound as many theories as you like, but the evidence seen in the complexity and beauty of creation speak of creation by God.  In the next six messages we will look at six ways in which creation calls us, beckons us to God, the creator.  The subjects of these six messages are: 1. Plants, 2. Animals, 3.  Earth and its physical features, 4. The heavens,  5. The processes that make the entire universe work togethe., and 6.  Humans.  It is my contention that God could have created a place for humans to live that was mainly featureless and still provided all that is necessary for human life, but He created it all in a manner to dazzle the five senses of man.  I believe He made it beautiful on purpose so that we can see and appreciate His functional and artistic creation.  An entire industry has been invented by mankind so that we can enjoy travelling over the earth to view its magnificence.  Another industry has been invented so that we can also see those places that are inaccessible to us by viewing still or moving images prepared by others.  I hope that you will take advantage of these two industries to explore God’s creation and be drawn to Him.  Maybe I’ll see you at Glacier National Park.  Let His creation draw you to His heart.  After all, He created it for you.

We will begin our blogs with the creation story when plants were created--all 400,000 types of them.       After we dicuss the creation of plants, we will go on to a discussion to the creation of animals.  I won't attempt to number the variety of animals, but I will ask you to consider the animals you can think of from amoeba to elephants, incuding mosquitos and polar bears.
Next, we will move to the physical creation of the earth, and then to the earth's companions in space, moons, planets, galaxies, and nebulas.
The next post relates to the creation involves somethng seldom considered when creation is discovered--the laws of physics, and chemistry that define the universe.  One question to ponder is, "Why does ice float, and why is that important?"
Finally, we will look at how God has revealed Himself in the creation of human beings.  Mankind was created on the same day as most of the anmals, but there were two monumental differences between everything created before mankind and mankind itself.
